How the matching works, plainly
The scan is text matching, not a judgement about you. It looks for the terms in the posting — allowing for plurals, common abbreviations and alternative spellings — and checks whether your resume uses them anywhere. A term counts for more when the posting repeats it, names it early, or puts it in a requirements line. A missing term means the words are not in your resume; it does not mean you lack the skill, and the suggested wording is only worth using where it is true of you.
